Hershey, Pennsylvania: A Chocolate Lover’s Delight

If you love chocolate, entertainment, fine cuisine, attractions, fabulous accommodations, a wide array of activities and rides for children and adults, as well as the wildlife park; you’ll love spending your summer vacation in Hershey, Pa.

The Hershey Lodge is a family-oriented site that has been touted as having a relaxing and quite enjoyable atmosphere. The uniqueness of this resort is evidenced by its chocolate-themed décor in every room.

With four restaurants serving such cuisine as fresh seafood, steaks, and pasta, you can also enjoy their chocolate pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, chicken wings and menus that can entice both children and adults alike.

The attractions at Hershey are among the best known in the world.  Hershey Park is a theme park that offers rides for children of all ages, as well as water rides and a boardwalk that has five attractions as well.

Hershey’s Chocolate World offers a chocolate tour, Factory Works where the kids can package a giant Hershey Kiss and personalize the Kiss with their name, Hershey Trolley works where you and your family take a ride through chocolate Town accompanied by a singing driver, and the 3D Hershey show in which you and your family will be taken on a musical adventure that includes all the Hershey characters.

You can also visit Hershey Gardens, Museum, and Theatre during the course of your stay.  Not to be outdone by all of the aforementioned attractions is the quintessential shopping trip to Lancaster, home of the Amish, where you can purchase handmade quilts and have lunch at an all Amish restaurant.  The food is plentiful and delicious!

Moreover, your kids will become acquainted with the culture and customs of the Amish and come to appreciate and respect their way of life.  They will be able to see how the Amish get around via horse and buggy or visit a typical amish home.  The quaint shops in Lancaster are filled with local crafts and treasures.  Although it’s 30 miles from Hershey, it is well worth the visit.

In fact, you can purchase a combo ticket that includes Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland, located in Lancaster.  Great for families and kids 12 years of age and under, Dutch Wonderland is filled with rides, entertainment, and a host of activities you and the kids will enjoy.

Check out the many packages available with your travel agent or online.  This is one sweet trip designed for the entire family! Article was written and approved by the Travelencia Travel Club
